That would not surprise me but you're missing out on HPA and N2. That hose is really not an issue. Any of you guys using a sling or just have one on your gun couldn't? Its about as bad, not much.

I saw co2 12g adapters that are metal.

Yeah it is especially because it's aluminium - the metal fittings tend to destroy the plastic regulator easily.

You can build an all metal dual regulator setup to fit in a stock pouch for less than a pre-made cold shot.

I think the palmer reg is better, its 90, but its a lot stronger. I guess it comes down to you wanting co2 capsules or a tank.

You can get the regulator for the Cold Shot here:

http://www.genuineinnovations.com/custom....-regulator.html

It's about $55us from what I was quoted. They sell an aluminium one, but it's $200+ and made to order.

My new pistol, TM 5.1 based
« Result #6 on Dec 14, 2009, 10:38pm »

Gotta love selling buying new stuff!

Well, I got my Hi Capa sold. I was a real treat to have for 3 years and never worry about it. But, its time for something more. I want bigger a better. I'll update this thread as things progress.

So far, it looks like I'll be getting another 5.1. I was not sure if I wanted a 4.3 or not. Freedom Arts has a great frame get kit that holds the out barrel in position. I'll eventually get a metal slide since I am too picky and the market looks a little depleted. Maybe by then I'll be able to get a hybrid barrel/slide set. I love flashy as long as its not shiny. I still want to field this tactically.

Freedom Art products are made by our friend Tonia Koba and most of the sets come with a custom twist barrel that is the appropriate length. I am looking forward to eventually replacing everything in the gun but the HU unit and maybe a few screws. I am curious to see if a Doctor sight can be mounted low-profile to the slide without a novak/bomar cut adapter. If it is at all possible I'd like to see if I can still have backup night sights.

This might seem a little more than just a backup, because it is. I like pistols and enjoy using them as primaries ever once in a while. I feel confident in them and most opposing players let their guard's down to be unpleasantly surprised. I can't think of a better choice for CQB and in general they out range most stock AEGs. If I ever run into IPSC in AL or where ever I my find my self calling home I'll be ready. I want this piece of kit to speak for its self.

This is obviously not mine and just a picture of a beautiful gun made by Illusion on Canada Airsoft forums. He is a master IMO. But, this is the closest I can get to explaining what I want without disclosing the entire build plan. Think black and OD. http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsoft/image/66082945

Agreed on those TM pistols ;)

KSC system 7 pistols are also nice. The HU will never be as good as TM's, but it's pretty damn consistent and you get the metal slide, etc.

Depends on how much and in what ways you want to upgrade your pistol. That being said, for $60 you're throwing your money away unless you're getting a quality gun used. Pistols that cheap don't last long.

I'm cheap. I like doing things myself to save money. I'll be the first person to tell you that brand names don't mean everything but I don't think those are common words used to describe $60 pistols.

I think you should save your money for a quality GBB. NBBs are nice, they can out perform most GBBs except when it comes to trigger pull. That actually matters more than you might think. I personally recommend a Tokyo Marui Hi Capa 5.1. One of the best guns I have ever owned and I only sold to get another one that will be upgraded.

~$160 after shipping. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/tokyo-marui-hi-capa-5-1-gbb-pistol.html

If you need to be even cheaper, you can get a metal clone. WE Hi Capas are about $100 w/ free shipping at airsplat. That's cheap, but I would stick to higher quality gun if I were you. ~160 for an airsoft gun really isn't that much. You can also try Redwolf Airsoft and just tack on about $30 for shipping.

You're not gonna get much good for $60. Check out this site, and some other forums, and try to find someone selling a used one with a working mag for that price. You might get a decent KWA, KSC, WE Tech, etc. for that price if you're lucky.

I'm looking for a gas pistol for a sidearm, I need to know what would be the most accurate, reliable, etc... for around $60.
